OUR PURPOSE

TO UPLIFT HAWAII THROUGH CREATIVITY, COMMUNITY, AND COMPASSION, USING OUR VOICES, OUR GIFTS, AND OUR RESOURCES TO BRING COMFORT, DIGNITY, AND HOPE TO THE PEOPLE WE SERVE.

OUR STORY

Island Aloha Collective didn’t begin as a brand. It began as a spark. The original idea was a podcast called Howzit Hawaii, created to share real stories and real conversations from the islands.

While planning the show, Stephen felt something he couldn’t shake. This wasn’t meant to be done alone. After nearly a decade of friendship, trust, and lived experiences together, he asked Alika if he wanted to co host. That moment shifted everything.

Once the two of them started building, the energy was real. The conversations were deeper, the purpose felt bigger, and the mission started to take shape.

During that time, Alika talked about someone he trusted. Someone he had known for years who brought creativity, perspective, and steady presence. That person was Zach.

When Zach joined, the trio clicked naturally. Nothing forced. Nothing hired. Just timing, alignment, and three people who genuinely understood each other.

What started as a podcast quickly grew into a brand. And as the ideas kept flowing, it became clear that this brand was only the beginning.

The vision expanded into something larger. An ecosystem built to uplift Hawaii through storytelling, community work, creative projects, and future branches that all share the same purpose.

Island Aloha Collective is the result of real relationships, real intention, and a shared commitment to serve Hawaii. Three different paths, one unified mission to uplift our people through creativity, community, and compassion.

This is how Island Aloha Collective was born. And this journey is just getting started.

OUR PROMISE

We promise to show up with honesty, consistency, and respect in everything we do. Whether it is the content we create, the conversations we hold, or the spaces we build, we commit to doing it with intention and care. You will always get the real us, no shortcuts, no performative energy, no pretending.

We promise to create an environment where people feel welcomed, valued, and understood. Our work will always reflect the same values we live by: authenticity, accountability, and genuine connection. As we grow, evolve, and take on new projects, this promise stays the same, to move with purpose, to treat people with dignity, and to keep our community at the center of everything we build.

OUR TEAM

This is the heart of Island Aloha Collective.

Our team is a blend of creators, storytellers, builders, and community‑minded humans who bring this movement to life. Each segment you’ll find here opens a window into our world, the work we do, the ideas we chase, the culture we honor, and the energy we bring to every project.

These aren’t just bios. They’re snapshots of the people shaping this journey, one story at a time.

STEPHEN HUFSTETLER

“STEVE”

Hi, my name is Stephen Hufstetler. I was born in North Carolina, moved to Hawai‘i as a baby, and spent most of my childhood growing up here in the islands. Hawai‘i shaped me. From Mililani to Kapolei, this is where I learned who I was. Growing up in a military family meant living with uncertainty. My dad was deployed often, and I watched my mom carry the weight of holding everything together. As the oldest of four siblings, I grew up fast and learned responsibility, loyalty, and what it means to protect the people I love. I faced my own challenges too, feeling misunderstood at times, struggling with confidence, and learning how to navigate the world in my own way. Sports became my escape, especially soccer, where I played tournaments and found discipline and belonging. Through it all, one thing stayed constant: my curiosity. I was always taking things apart, learning how they worked, and finding comfort in creativity and exploration.

Becoming a father at twenty changed everything. My son gave me purpose, direction, and a reason to grow beyond the pain and mistakes of my past. Not getting to see him as often as I should, especially while going through a custody battle, is something I carry every day. The moments I do get with him mean everything. Today, I work installing high‑end furniture, handling logistics, and driving Uber on the side, but my passion is building something meaningful. I am committed to creating something real for my family, my community, and the next generation. I want to build something rooted in growth, authenticity, and the values that shaped me here in Hawai‘i.

ALEXANDER WALKER

“ALIKA”

“Strength made me who I am, but love and family are what define me.”

My name is Alexander Walker, though most people know me as Alika, a name I share with my father, who has been one of the most influential figures in my life. I was born on May 10, 2000, and raised on the island of Oʻahu, Hawaiʻi, primarily in Mililani and Wahiawā. As the youngest of four siblings, I grew up in a household where family was not only important, it was everything.

My upbringing was shaped by strong role models. I looked up to both my father and my older brother, who helped guide me into manhood through their strength, discipline, and example. At the same time, my mother instilled in me the values of kindness, respect, and compassion, qualities that I carry with me in every aspect of my life. Together, they shaped me into someone who is not only strong, but also grounded and respectful.

Family remains the foundation of who I am. To me, family goes beyond blood, it includes anyone I hold close and care deeply about. If I consider someone family, I am loyal to them without question. I am naturally protective and take pride in being someone others can rely on.

My early years were not without challenges. From elementary through middle school, I experienced bullying, which tested my confidence and resilience. However, those experiences shaped my character in a meaningful way. By the time I reached high school, I had developed a strong sense of responsibility to stand up for others who could not defend themselves. I often took it upon myself to confront bullies, driven by a desire to protect and support those who felt powerless. Those experiences taught me that true strength is not just about standing your ground, it is about standing up for others.

Sports have been a constant throughout my life and played a major role in my development. Beginning at the age of five, I participated in a wide range of athletics, including basketball, soccer, and cross country in my early years, followed by flag football, tackle football, wrestling, and track and field in high school, where I specialized in discus and shot put. After graduating, I had the opportunity to give back by coaching in shot put and discus, which allowed me to mentor others and share my knowledge and passion.

I take pride in both my personal growth and my ability to give back. One of my most memorable milestones was purchasing my first car. At the time, I had very little to my name, but I took a leap of faith and visited a used car dealership. When I drove off the lot, I remember the moment truly sinking in, I had made one of my first major decisions as an adult, and it was a defining moment of independence and self-belief. Another moment I hold close is being able to provide for my parents by purchasing a three-seater recliner and a loveseat. Being able to give back to them, even in a small way, meant everything to me and reflected the gratitude I carry for all they have done.

As a person, I consider myself open, honest, and easygoing. I value authenticity and believe in speaking truthfully, even if it means being direct at times. While I can be reserved initially, I become much more outgoing once I am comfortable. Above all, I strive to be someone who is supportive, caring, and dependable. Growing up, I often felt like I did not have an outlet to express my emotions, which is why I make it a priority to be there for others. I want people to feel heard, supported, and understood, especially during times when they may feel alone.

Currently, I work as a warehouse professional, continuing to build my path forward. My long-term goals are centered around achieving financial stability and creating a life where not only I, but also my loved ones, can thrive. Success to me is not measured solely by personal gain, but by the well-being and growth of the people around me.

Outside of work, I have developed a strong passion for mixed martial arts. I actively train in boxing, kickboxing, Muay Thai, Jiu-Jitsu, and wrestling. These disciplines challenge me physically and mentally, while reinforcing the values of discipline, perseverance, and continuous self-improvement.

My journey is still unfolding, but everything I have experienced, both the challenges and the successes, has shaped me into who I am today. I remain committed to growth, to family, and to being a source of strength and support for those around me.

ZACHERY KAMAUU

“ZACH”

My name is Zachery Kamauu. I’m from Hawai‘i, and everything I do is rooted in growth, responsibility, and providing for the people I care about. I carry myself with honesty and stay true to who I am, even when life gets tough.

Right now, I’m focused on building stability and leveling up in every area: mentally, physically, and financially. I work hard, stay disciplined, and understand that success comes from consistency, not shortcuts.

Being a father is what drives me the most. It’s bigger than me now. Every move I make is about becoming a better man and creating a stronger future for my son.

I’m not where I want to be yet, but I’m not standing still either.
